Mirfield is a small town located in West Yorkshire, England. It is situated halfway between the cities of Leeds and Huddersfield, and is part of the wider Kirklees district. The town has a population of around 19,000 people. Mirfield has a long history, dating back to the Domesday Book of 1086. It was a center of the wool trade in the 18th and 19th centuries, and later became known for its production of textiles, particularly shoddy and mungo. Today, Mirfield is a predominantly residential area, with a variety of housing options ranging from historic stone buildings to modern developments. The town has a number of amenities, including several supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, and cafes. There is also a train station, which provides easy access to nearby towns and cities.
