Frodsham is a market town in the borough of Cheshire West and Chester in northwest England. It is located on the River Weaver, about 16 miles (26 km) south of Liverpool and 22 miles (35 km) southwest of Manchester. Frodsham has a long history dating back to the 9th century when it was known as "Frodesham". It was a small agricultural community until the 18th century when it developed into a market town due to its location on the River Weaver and the Chester Canal. Today, Frodsham has a population of around 9,000 people and is known for its historic buildings, including the 13th-century St. Lawrence Church, as well as its scenic countryside surroundings. The town is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists who come to explore the nearby Delamere Forest and the Sandstone Trail.
